Do you tend to get discouraged when you think about the current social, political, economic, and spiritual climate of our times?

I’ll admit – I certainly do, especially as I reflect on the cases CRE is defending and the barrage on Religious Liberty in every area of this nation!

But as believers in and servants of Jesus Christ, these perilous days provide us with a constant reminder that  “all the nations of the world are but a drop in the bucket. They are nothing more than dust on the scales. He picks up the whole earth as though it were a grain of sand.” (Isaiah 40:15)

God is more powerful than His opposition!

Days like the ones we’ve had in 2020 are nothing new to the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth.  He does not want us to become discouraged or weary in doing what is right and good…neither does He want us to look around in dismay.  Instead, God promises a harvest of blessings if we keep our eyes and hearts focused on Him and do not give up (Gal. 6:9, Heb. 12:2, and Isaiah 41:10).

In fact, we are instructed in Isaiah 41:10:
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

God goes on to remind us in the next two verses what it is that we have to look forward to {one of these days}, even though circumstances in front of us may seem bleak:

“See, all your angry enemies lie there, confused and humiliated. Anyone who opposes you will die and come to nothing.
You will look in vain for those who tried to conquer you. Those who attack you will come to nothing.”  Isaiah 41:11-12

This is what the Word of the Lord says.  This is where we are to center our eyes and our hope. This is how we can praise the Lord in the midst of worldly turmoil. This is how we can pray for those who stand in opposition to Christians today. And this is what we look to AS we press on in the day-to-day fight for Religious Liberty in our land of the free and home of the brave.

May God bless America and YOU!
