Every organization has values. At CRE, our values relate to our purpose in clearing the path for truth, and are delineated as follows:
The importance of truth
Jesus spoke to the vital importance of truth, declaring that “the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32). While the post-modern culture attacks the very notion of truth, CRE affirmatively values truth, knowing that individuals and societies cannot thrive without truth. At CRE, we stand for – and with – truth.
The renewal of the world via truth
As Christians, we are called to be witnesses to the truth, both regionally and globally. (Acts 1:8). We are called to be salt in the world by permeating the culture without compromise, so as to preserve it; we are also called to be light to the world, placing ourselves in dark places to expose evil and show the way out. (Matt. 5:13-16). By God’s grace, our Christian calling is to advance the Kingdom of God. When God’s truth is shared, and his Holy Spirit applies that truth to the heart of the people, God’s Kingdom will be on “earth as it is in heaven.” (Matt. 6:10). At CRE, we affirm the sharing of truth.
The critical need to assist truth-bearers
The current times are strikingly similar to those described in the book of Isaiah, referring to justice being thwarted because truth has stumbled in the public square. (Isaiah 59:14). There is a direct connection between truth and justice, for you cannot have one without the other. Presently, Christians are facing unparalleled legal and governmental burdens on their ability to convey truth in the public square, keeping justice at bay. At CRE, we are dedicated to protecting the fundamental, God-given right to share truth.
